Report: Parallel imports to Russia can reach $16 bln in 2022

MOSCOW, Aug 15 (PRIME) – Russia’s parallel imports program can amount to U.S. $16 billion in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov told channel Rossiya 24 on Monday.

"We can say that the result in parallel imports will amount to somewhere $16 billion by the end of the year," Manturov said, adding that over the last three months parallel imports reached about $6 billion.

Parallel imports are used to provide the Russian market with necessary goods in conditions of Western sanctions. The first list of the goods allowed for parallel imports was released in May.
